Refined and CMT Orange Heavy-Duty 12 Crosscutting Blade, 72 ATB

The CMT Industrial Orange Chrome/Xtreme premium line of blades includes this saw blade. Designed for professional woodworkers who require high precision and durability, this is one of CMT's highest performing saw blades. The special chrome carbide reduces tooth abrasion, and the chrome-plated body protects against rust and corrosion, guaranteeing long-lasting performance. This blade is engineered to be run all day and can cut through a variety of materials, including wood, plywood, OSB, laminate, Melamine, moldings, and MDF.

The steel plate is laser-cut from 46-48 HRC precision German steel to very tight tolerances, ensuring longer life and more accurate cuts. The cutting teeth are made from a specially formulated chromium micrograin carbide, which stays sharper longer by reducing cutting edge abrasion, improving cut quality and tool life. Each tooth is precision-ground on a multi-axis CNC machine, creating perfect edge angles and guaranteeing extra-clean cuts and extended life.

The Silver-Copper-Silver tri-metal brazing process used to attach the teeth to the saw plate allows the teeth to withstand severe impact when cutting harder wood and composite material. The saw plate is coated with a chrome layer to protect against corrosion and rust, guaranteeing longer tool life. The laser-cut heat expansion slots are engineered to allow the blade to expand when heat build-up occurs from use, preventing blade warping. Slots filled with polyurethane reduce vibrations and noise (25% less than standard saw blades), improving cut quality and extending blade life.

This 12-inch blade has a 1-inch bore, 72 teeth, and a 20-degree Alternate Top Bevel (ATB) grind. The kerf is 0.126 inch, and the plate thickness is 0.087 inch. The tooth hook angle is 10 degrees, making it suitable for fine finish crosscuts and limiting splintering and climbing. This blade can be used on radial arm saws, sliding compound miter saws, and table saws, providing excellent finish quality for crosscutting wood, ripping/crosscutting plywood and laminate, and for molding and picture frames.
