Additionally, the anti-kickback design ensures a safer user experience, and the Silver-copper-silver sandwich brazing provides flexibility and resistance to impact during woodworking operations. The Non-stick Orange Shield Coating further improves the tool's functionality.
This comprehensive set includes four carbide-tipped cutters in various sizes (1/8", 5/32", 3/16", and 1/4"), a 1/2" arbor, a 7/8" ball bearing for a cutting depth up to 1/2", and 17 shims (8 x 0.1mm, 4 x 0.5mm, 3 x 1mm, and 2 x 4mm). Safety is of utmost importance when using this tool. It is crucial to never use the slot cutter set without shims between the cutters, as the distance between the cutters can vary from 0.039 to 0.669. A shim must also be positioned between the ball bearing and the cutters. The 791.711.00 bearings kit allows for 1/4" and 3/8" cutting depth, and it is essential to ensure that the carbide edges of the cutters never touch and that the cutters are assembled in the proper right rotational direction (clockwise when looking down the arbor).
